I’m Martha Ortman, a Minnesota artist who believes art can create connection, spark curiosity, and invite us to see something in a new way.
My work ranges from representational to abstract, often inspired by nature, personal experiences, memories, and the people and places that have meaning in our lives. I work primarily in acrylic and oil, but I also enjoy drawing and mixed media. Some pieces begin with a clear idea; others evolve as I experiment with color, texture, and form.
